LD questions..

Ok, so it was in the middle of the day today, had an argument with the girlfriend, and she had to leave, so i hung up, and went to bed… this was around 4 o’clockish… i had a dream that she cheated on me… then i was waking up… i opened my eyes, i saw my room lit by the computer monitor, and then i figured i was waking up, oh no, then i tried thinking of a place so i could dream of it… it didnt work too well, then i started falling back asleep. after a few minutes i came back to reality, then i think i was sitting up (OOBE?) then i looked around, and i laid back down, and said “increase lucidity!” my head started throbbing. and i thought i started seeing things in my room, so i did this method a friend of mine told me about a year ago… and i heard it on the radio one morning when they had a psychic on… imagine a golden ring above your head that comes from heaven filling your body with gold all the way down to your feet, then you will feel warm all throughout your body, then make the golden ring above your head disappear, and you should be protected from evil spirits that way…

so i have 2 questions…

  1. was it a real OOBE (memory of it was not too vivid), or was it just a lucid dream OOBE?
  2. My head started throbbing after i said, “increase lucidity,” i’ve never read that anywhere before… my head also throbbed much, much more after i did the golden ring method… and my head was shaking until i made the gold ring disappear (too much power from heaven?). Is this throbbing normal?

~thank you, erick.

Hi erickplaystation !

It’s rather hard to answer to your both questions. That’s probably the reason why nobody tried to reply to them ! I’ll try, but I’m not sure my answers will be really accurate… :shy:
About your first question, only you can say if it was a “true” OBE (if ever they exist) or a LD. The only way you have to know it is to verify if what you have seen corresponds to reality. In my opinion, it was a LD.
About your second question, it often happens that people experience pain in LD when they are in a bad state of mind(fear, etc.) You just had an argument with your girl friend, you were rather afraid about your dream, so it could explain your head throbbing.

Another possibility : Flo said that in this dream state where all is grey and rather frightening, it’s easier to practice spiritual exercices, as energy is higher that in a bright LD. The counterpart is, according to her, if you’re not really well trained, you can experience some energetic problems. I don’t know what to think about this assertion, but this (and what I said above) gives perhaps an explanation to your throbbing.

It sound to me like a low level LD it also sounds like you may have been drifting between your waking and dreaming state. It is hard to say for sure.
