LD questions

Okay, I think I had my first lucid dream. It seems that whenever I meditate before I go to sleep I often do something related to lucid dreaming. In one instance I had meditated before and in my dream I gathered with a bunch of my friends and asked them if this counted as a shared dream, and they all said yes, but I didn’t realize I was dreaming. Then the other night I had a dream in a dream. In the dream I was in a room with a bunch of chairs where people fell asleep to LD. I drempt in my dream of a TV… just a TV. And for some reason I realized I was dreaming, and this really weird feeling came over me. But I think I got too exited and I lost it and went back to regular dreaming.

Should I meditate more often before I go to sleep? And does anyone have any suggestions to make my LDs last a bit longer?

I do can suggest how to make your LDs last longer. Here are some examples to help you:

  1. Look at a watch on your arm (your choice which one) and imagine it slowing and stopping.

  2. Shout out loudly (with authority and might) “Stop/Freeze time now!” and expect the dream to last days DT (dream time) while IRL it lasts only like one hour.

The key to this is intention and your ability to wanting it to happen. Expect it to happen. Tighten your will, expect your desire, nothing else.

hi Keys and Clocks  congrats on your LD!
Yes it happens to a lot of people to get excited when realize they are dreaming for the first time. What you should do is to stay calm. Keep your hold on the dream, and try to stabilize it. Do this by using your senses: look at your hands, or at the ground, touch some objects, like the ground or a wall, … anything that keeps you interacting with the dream. Walk around and notice how real everything looks. This usually makes the dream more vivid and real and stable and keeps me from waking up. In a recent LD, i licked a vase to stabilise the dream!
As for meditating before bed, I think you should keep doing that, since it’s working for you. Good Luck!

Thanks, I’ll try it out and see how it goes.
