Has anyone tried living in another era in another part of the world in a lucid dream? Imagine living in 16 century feudal Japan for instance, we could walk around with long katanas, and fight rogue ronins. Or maybe being a very rich person in the future, and seeing the architecture and technology, maybe inventing them in RL. I’m interested to know if anyone attempted to do this, and I would like to know his/her experience.

I think the best way to achieve that “trip” is to learning something about the time you want to visit… Also studying pictures will help a lot at least in my experience…

That’s been on my to-do list for awhile, but I haven’t actually done anything about it yet. My preferred era is Victorian England. Next time I’m lucid I’ll try this. Good luck!

I’ve been thinking about this forever too! I would probably want to live in around the 16th or 17th century and have sword fights and such. Sadly, I don’t have enough dream control to materialize entire worlds.

Tell me about it. So far I’ve had two lucid dreams and BOTH of them involve me being in a familiar yet new place, and suddenly flying around. I don’t seem to have much dream control yet, but I am conscious in my dream and it’s really vivid.
You don’t have to materialize a whole world, you could just summon a time machine.
I used a sandwich time machine teleporter in a ND , so… in a LD that must be easier.
