Lucid dream during a nap after a 2-month long break...

I just woke up from a nap, because I decided that I might as well try and get a lucid dream again, after having a very long break.
I didn’t really expect to succeed, since I haven’t had the slightest motivation lately, for some reason.
But while I was falling asleep I tried to be aware and prepare myself to become lucid, and although I did have several “normal” dreams, I have clear memories of a dream where I actually walked around and asked myself “surely this must be a dream…? Yes I really do think it is!”.
Everything felt so unfamiliar and “otherworldly” in a way so that I just concluded that I really was dreaming, and then walked around and explored stuff.

This was actually quite amazing to me, because this must mean naps are an incredibly easy way to get lucid dreams if you just decide that you are gonna get one.
I therefore highly recommend beginners to pursue lucid dreaming during naps.

Yes, having a LD while napping is possible. I have myself had one successful WILD attempt while having a nap. I’ve always thought, that naps consist mostly of REM sleep, therefore, allowing WILD and other techniques. However, regarding a recent discussion here on the forum I’m not so sure anymore. It seems that naps vary and not all of them are full of REM. There might be many variables and further research is needed.

I second that, I personally have had very good success with naps. :content:
