This is very weird. Because when I was sixteen, I wanted to astral project so badly after hearing my father and his brother used to do it all the time. So I layed on my sofa one quiet afternoon. And just layed there, hoping to Project. I have never attempted to lucid dream before and had done it maybe once prior to this. Well it felt as if i heard noises and my friend Kevin talking as I was laying down. So I got up and layed in my bed. Then the SP kicked in immediately and I could only move an eyelid. Keep in mind this was on my stomach. Vibrations came on and then I had a WILD. Amazing. Short lived but amazing. I was so happy that when I awoke again, I attempted again and it worked! I have had many WILDs since then and a few where i would pinch my nose and realize i cld breathe and was dreaming. But I read that WILD best works when laying on the back> IDK but ive only had wild very few times while on my back. Heres the problem, I havent been able to lucid dream in a while now. Can somebody help me?
This is the main proof, which shows, that Astral Projection/Out of body experience is simply a (lucid) dream. I’ve also tried AP, but since that always resulted in a dream, I was convinced that AP/OBE is, in fact a dream.
Regarding the WILD question…
The position you WILD is not that important. You can lay on your back, side, stomach, whatever fits you best. The key is to be comfortable. Although laying on your back is the preffered way, you may always do this otherwise. The proccess may last longer, but it will be a lot more comfortable.
You also say that you have problems inducing LD’s. Well, I would simply recommend having a dream journal, and doing RC’s regularly. Try some techniques besides WILD. A good start would be the MILD technique.
