I was thinking earlyer that all these people that can astral project n’ such are just having lucid dreams. Ive looked at ways to astral project and most of them closly resemble methods to become lucid in your dreams.
Or maybe its the other way around…
I’ve often wondered the same thing freemind. Is astral projection really you leaving your body, or is it a 3rd party lucid dream.
I personally have never experienced either an AP or a 3rd party LD so cannot really comment on it. Some of you APers, I also would like to understand what the differences are.
Sometime in the next year, when I have time, I plan on experimenting around with AP. Does anyone have any good links?
Hi, I have posted a long post about LD vs OBE, but no one really cared about it (as far as I know).
In there I discussed that I believe that OBE is just a super LD because they both are very similiar. And when you really have an OBE, it’s a NDE type.

But what do you guys see when having an NDE?
I know several other people who has had these, but none of them as regularely as myself… they also just report seeing a light and seeing their life pass before their eyes, but I don’t experience it like that at all… By using psychadelics I have currently hit a point where I can remember all scenes from my whole life at any time in my ordinary waking reality consciousness, and visualize it all in vivid colors.
So, when I have OBE’s (or NDE’s) something quite else happens… actually, this might sound weird but it’s the truth… Each time I manage to break out, I first get the usual separating of celestial body from material body thing, but then I can somehow push myself to a level beyond just the “energybody out of materialbody” state… I actually suddenly just wake up each time beside something that looks like a big black pyramid that glows with some kind of energy… when I look around I see lots of sleeping people connected to the walls and helplessly lost in what must be the illusion we know as “waking reality”… It’s so weird, it’s just like I snap right out of the illusion and materialize a whole other place, a much more real place… What’s even weirder is that this place feels incredibly familiar, I can’t quite put my finger on it… but it’s like the most familiar place ever… It feels like what I have always though of as “home” or something, you know that certain unnameable feeling one has since one is born… I don’t know if you guys can identify with this, wich may seem like demented ramblings to ya all, but my gut-feeling tells me that the memory of this place is from way before this lifetime.
When I fall back here from this state there is a totally vivid image of an “O” in my closed-eye state for minutes afterwars… (the O looks like an ring of some white, clear texture on a black background, and with a black hole in the middle… kind of some warped, buckled donut shape.)
Seriously, can anyone identify? Cause this is what I actually experience pretty often, and often at totally random times… Would be nice to get some comments from someone who has experienced something remotely similar, I can’t possibly be the only one to do this.
Another thing that proves it authenticity, to me at least, is that as soon as I visualise that pyramid in my mind I start getting strong meditative-state vibrations through my body + powerful chills up and down my spine.
PS. sorry if the language skills is a bit off at points, I’m a norwegian dood 
What I think that tunnel of light is that people see is DMT getting mass produced when your body knows its dying to ease the pain. Ive had an experience that came close to that while smoking it out of a freebase pipe 
I thought I was the only one heh. I see this alot when I go to sleep or take a shower while my eyes are closed
Do you just mean the usual white “sheets” that materialize before your closed eyes when sleepy, or as I ment: a totally solid O that looks completely real?
btw. How weird is life?? If these things are the case, not just us hallucinating insanely… (and in that regard, what is really hallucinating anyway) Are we trapped in this intergalactic matrix-thing, or is this something we willingly agreed to before this life?.. I doubt it is willingly, erasing our memory and being put in an illusion we see as the “only reality there is”… it’s rather harsh. 
ohh, goddamnit… I don’t wanna wait until I die to find out this charade!
