I call it DreamBuddy. It is a silver, touchscreen phone looking thing. On the back it is a cloud and inside it of course says DreamBuddy. How it works is, on the touchscreen you can choose from these options. “Realtime-Dreamtime” this option lets you choose how long a dream is in real time. Example: You type in 1HR RT=4HR DT. THis basically lets you choose how long your dream can be. Next is "DCs"In here, you type in the name of the DC you want to appear. For instance, you want to train to be a jedi, so you take it out and type “Yoda” and press enter. Yoda will appear infront of you. Next is “Item Manifester” (Mind you, all of these options do have voice recognition) So your walking, then you can’t go onwards from the path unless you defeat this evil guy. He is trained. SO so your just say “Hey dream buddy, gimme 2 battle axes.” and 2 battle axes appear in your hands. Next is “Powers” You type what power you want, then this littile shot needle comes out of the front, and you give yourself a shot, and you get those powers. And last but not least “Analayser” This could work when fighting an enemy, you can find out it’s weaknesses, it’s strengths, how old it is, where its from ETC. Tell me what you guys think of this!
I’m making the assumption from your post that you are a novice in the field of Lucid Dreaming . Many newcomers to the phenomena treats it like it was a game, the closest thing they can relate to. I understand this, I just want you (if the above applies to you, that is) to bear in mind to not have such high expectations at Lucid dreams in the beginning (with fights etc) since it is quite an effective way to wake yourself up if you lack the experience.
With that said - it’s a great, but excessive idea. Iv’e had about 15 lasting LDs, so as you can tell im far from experienced. I have never had any problems with “materializing” objects though. Making the invention, as already said, a bit excessive.
The bottomline is, if you are having trouble making people or objects appear, then this is a great idea. Simply a tool that make’s all of this easier to create. Question is, if you’re having trouble visualizing objects, how do you get the Dreambuddy in the first place?
Nah, i don’t have trouble making objects. Although people sort of are a problem. I was just thinking of lucid dreaming, and if you could stretch it out to make it seem longer. Then that stupid phone commercial came on then she was all “It’s like my sidekick! ” and i’m like hmmmmmmmmm…But, what i’m saying is, if you believe that this “Dreambuddy” could work, and truley believe it, it should work. It’s the same reason you GET the things you want in your hands, or if you fly.
While a cute idea, there exist many of these lil’ things. In fact, a lot of people take “pills” which give them the abilities to do things. Others maybe put on “flying” gloves and suddenly fly.
But the whole all-in-one idea is nice
Never heard of flying gloves…should try that. But I HAVE heard of the Lucid Pill. Amazed on that, especially since you can stretch out time in a dream. I think i’ll try making the “DreamBuddy” appear in my hands while trying a FILD/HILD tonight.
Rocket shoes. They look like normal shoes but have small holes on the bottom that somehow propel you forward . Their really fun if you try and be realist (It’s weird having something pushing your whole body from behind, if you move just a little bit you turn REALLY fast
If this turned into things besides natural powers to do things like fly, The iron-man suit!
That would be awesome carrying something around like that… maybe you could make it like Siri on the iPhone 4s too xD where you ask it anything and it answers back, or it just talks to you about anything but
btw, this is my first post :3
LD helper objects are useful, but in theory you should be able to do it without them.
They just give your brain an excuse for what you’re doing, it’s like the placebo effect.
