If we slept for 16 hours a day, and stayed awake for 8 hours a day… I wonder if it would reverse the dream world from waking life. What would happen if we lived like that.
Carnivores sleep more than herbivores, because meat has more energy, so they don’t have to spend a lot of time eating. There is the social bit, and hunting involved too though. One can only imagine what goes on in a cat’s head when they are sleeping.
I don’t quite believe they have waking and dreaming reversed. In fact, as I just figured, they probably take it all as one whole thing, like we do.
But it looks like, with regard to the conditions mentioned, that they don’t have to stay up to do stuff so they sleep, that, sleep is not something we do to sustain waking life, but the other way around.
