In the first, I learnt and used Dark Magic.
In the second, finally completed my personal goal.
(MILD is not a new technique for me, but it’s been a while since it was so effective.)
So I’m ending the challenge on a personal high… I’m going to be out for the rest of the day so will miss the final count up and everything tonight.
Thanks Thorn for running an excellent lucid challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and felt like I got much better at dream control through attempting the tasks.
Congrats to everybody who scored today. Any dreams that were had before this post can still be posted for points. I’ll close the LC entirely late tonight and announce everybody’s final placement. The scores are hidden until that time.
Last minute post! These were both from this morning before the cut off.
Two things.
One, a short LD that involved the host. We had a footrace across the desert, you were in your avatar form. I just ran on the sand, you used a sonic-like track next to me.

Yet again, drd has won the LC! He has the choice of hosting the next LC or splitting/passing hosting duty down to the next participants, and duty will be passed on in this fashion until a host is found.
I don’t have an extravagant closing post for you all. All I can do is reiterate how happy I was to watch people get motivated and succeed and how nice it was to speak to the participants personally while they planned their dream incubations and while I set up tasks. I wish all participants best of luck in their lucid endeavors both in their free time and for the next LC… and I look forward to seeing people finish the subtasks that drew their attention in this LC, even if they’re not worth points anymore.
Okay, then obfusc8 has the choice of hosting the next LC or splitting/passing hosting duty down to the next participants, and duty will be passed on in this fashion until a host is found.
Congrats drd and thanks for a great task set this LC Thorn.
Towards the end of this LC, I’ve made great progress with my incubations. A recurring problem that I’ve had in the past is that my incubations would either be unfocused or that I would decide on something upon going to bed and leave it at that with no real incubation work gone into it. An issue that arose with this is that I’d usually end up forgetting to do the task upon becoming lucid. Thanks to imagery incubation sessions that I did 30 minutes before bed in conjunction with reminding myself of the tasks nonstop for 7-10 minutes upon waking upto my WBTB alarm, I was able to solidly summon what I believe to be my first proper functional objects that actually resembled the objects that I incubated. This in turn really helped me progress my LDs and helped me to actually complete tasks during this LC.
Thanks for hosting another great LC! I’m proud of the dreams and especially the lucid dreams I had. I still didn’t get my personal goal done and the lucid dream frequency isn’t great, but I’ll keep improving. I got 10 more points than I did in your last LC
The idea of hosting a challenge on lucid dreaming, something I’ve known about for less than 12 months, intimidates the cupcakes out of me… so there’s only one possible course of action.
I will host LC45.
(If any of the runners up are interested in helping out rather than taking part, let me know. Thanks.)
Congratulations drd for winning and obfusc8 for hosting! Thank you, Thorn, for r̶u̶i̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶L̶C̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ hosting another wonderful LC! I really enjoyed this LC, and although school got in the way and ended up destroying my recall in the middle of the challenge, I had a lot of fun!
So… I did pretty darn good! (I mean this in terms of self-growth and I’m not trying to gloat that I got 4th place. ) I beat my previous best of 460 points! My incubation powers became very… powerful! I was even terrified of how well I was doing this LC! Although I would have really liked an LD. That seemed like the one thing I couldn’t incubate. Hopefully LC45 gives me plenty of lucid HYPE so I can finally complete that personal goal!
