lucidity exploring problem

When i get lucid … i like to fly … but sometimes when i escape out of the room by flying true it i witness darkness.
i am in a black space nothings happends , no visuals.
last time i ask to see what i did in previous lives . i saw a white light and ended up in sleepparalyses… no scare stuf just could not move my body , i could move my dream body but not my real body … but when i keep trying i waked up…

so how a prevent myself from going into sleep paralysis or losing all visuals…
:help:

Hi there

I’m no expert in Lucid Dreaming, not even close to it, but I’ve done a lot of research and this is what could be going wrong:

  • You get too excited. It’s obvious, you’re finally lucid, how awesome is that? But still, try to keep calm. Maybe look at the floor for a bit and feel yourself breath. But do something in the meantime that will help you stay lucid, as anything can make you non-lucid again. So perhaps count your fingers while relaxing.

  • You mentioned everything gets dark. Maybe this is, because you expect it to get dark, unwillingly, even if you don’t want it to? Try to focus on creating a happy world, and believe that it will stay that way. I know, it’s hard, and I certainly haven’t mastered it either yet, but it’s possible.

I hope that helps

Edit: Oh, about the sleep paralysis. Yea, I also read that you might get into sleep paralysis more often when you had an LD. I don’t know how you can prevent it, but I have read how to get out of it easily. When you can’t move your body. Try to move your toes and your finger tops, you should be able to move them. From there, move your hands, and maybe even your feet. Keep doing this until you are able to move all of your body parts and snapped out of the paralysis! Good luck!
