Magic Eye Pictures Similiar to Lucid Dreams

I was looking at the magic eye website, and I noticed while doing one of the pictures that going lucid and magic eye pictures work kind of the same.

For ME pics, you do the pull your face away thing and you notice something sticking out, so you concentrate on that. Then, you see the whole picture sticking out much more clearly.

For LDs, you go into REM sleep and you notice something that can’t happen. You concentrate on it, checking it once or twice, and then the whole dream kind of pops out at you. Everything becomes clear.

I dunno, I just thought it was cool. Here’s one of the pics:

i moved this topic here from the garden of creation, since the images are somebody else’s creation.

it is also similar to lucid dreaming in the way that you need to concentrate to make them look the same. :cool:

Gah, I can never, ever do those things! Everybody else can always see the pictures, but I’ve never once been able to - it’s not fair! :sad:

stormthunder: don’t look at them, stare at them, try to unfocus your eyes. Suddenly it will click.

I’ll never forget the first time somebody showed me this and I succeeded into seeing it for the first time :smile:

I see SIRDS images inverted, there are some eyes that can’t see them right

Nope, just tried for ages again and still couldn’t do it. My imagination was making plenty of fake pictures out of the jumble, though. So far I’ve seen “1877”, footprints, an amphitheatre and random swirly things… but that was just me doing it, not the picture. :tongue: It doesn’t seem to make a difference how I focus my eyes, argh!

I think its because I have lazy eye or something?

stormy: try this: draw 2 dots on a paper, about 5 cm apart. Now try to unfocus your eyes. The dots will move to each other, and a new dot will appear in the middle when they meet. That’s when you see the magic eye picture. So if you can do it with the dots, you know how to unfocus, and you just keep doing that until the picture connects.

Tried that - I couldn’t do that either. I could get the three dots easily, but I couldn’t make them stay for longer than half a second. Things kept sliding back into proper focus no matter what I tried. I guess that’s my problem, then…

Curse this topic! :wallhit: Last night I had a LD, but everything was blue like the piccie and 3D parts moved in and out. Completely ruined my fun. :sad:

I’ve always seen these things from time to time… but I don’t think I ever saw the hidden images in them. I never knew what I was supposed to do then… I think… nor did I knew what was supposed to happen.

I just checked out how they were supposed to to be solved though and now that I get it, I think I can do it now…

Anyway, I can make it already look 3d… but I can’t make out what the picture looks like… Is that normal?

Yeah, sometimes it’s hard to figure out what something is, even if you already see the 3D and all. :smile:

I never could do these either but I think I lack patience and so that’s why. :whew:

I used to be able to solve these when I was younger, I had a technique that would work all the time.

I Can’t seem to do it anymore, all I remember is that it had something to do with crossing your eyes.

I cant do these either, my friend showed me 1 a while ago and i stared at it for ages but i couldnt see anything there.
Its annoying because all my friends can do them and i cant lol.

I can get to the part where I see the 3-D, but I can’t tell what the images is… :sad:

I cant see something different :cry: what are you supposed to see? Ive been trying but nothing happens :confused:
