Is it possible when after becoming lucid, looking for someone you know and make them lucid, but then first make sure its not just a dream character but the real person dreaming and making them lucid by telling them that they are dreaming?
I was thinking asking your friend IRL for permission to enter their dream that you in your lucid dream their would be access to them and no sort of blockage? and then you see them in a ND and then you try to make them lucid, and experience a shared dream? Has anyone tried this?
i’ve heard stories from people it’s possible, and i’m pretty open minded, but if this is possible, would be nice, but then again, i wouldn’t want people in my head going in my dream whenever they please… >_>
unless like shared dreaming, you both have to be open to it or somethin…
I’d think in something like this, it would need effort on both sides to even have a chance to work. But I’ve never done this, so I could be wrong.
The only way I will believe that this is possible. Is if two people actually manage to do this. And recognize what each other said, and where they were by detail.
It can’t just be “omg I saw you in my dream.”
“omg me too!”
Something along the lines of.
“Were you standing in a featureless room with a single chair in the corner with a chicken sat on it at the time?”
Or something similar.
i know what you mean there has to be a series of questions you ask to the other person you feel you had a shared dream with and they have to answer all of them correctly in order to confirm that it is an authentic shared dream. Or even have one say the beginning of the dream and the other say the ending and see if they match up. I had read some stuff on an astral projection site once. and the way i understood was that in an astral projection the entities you encounter there are real beings and not DC whereas in an LD all the entities are DC so in order to make one lucid you have to find an entity whom you see in astral projection and make them conscious. I really believe in the shared dreaming but i think it has to be performed on the astral plane and not in a lucid dream because the LD is only in YOUR head, you head to go to where the background isn’t your subconscious but the background is in another plane of existence. this is the only way shared dreaming i believe is possible. but when i think about it a little more i wonder how that entity (a close friend or someone you talked about conducted this experiment with) ended up floating around the astral plane unconsciously. Perhaps maybe a portal or door/mirror in a normal dream led him/her there.
