WBTB is an excellent method for me, but obviously I can’t do it unless I wake up earlier than usual. I set my alarm clock every night for 5:00 but never once has it woken me up (maybe I don’t hear it or maybe I turn it off and fall asleep again).
I know that most people have a “mental alarm clock” due to the routine of getting up at the same time every weekday, my question is - is there a technique to set an intention to wake up at a different time? After that, the new time would become routine and I could do WBTB every night. It almost always works when I manage to do it, so this situation is very frustrating!
This morning, I had to wake up for a WILD-attempt at 7:00. I did wake up at 6:55 exactly. I think, with a bit of practise, your mental alarm clock can be very, very accurate…!
I don´t know who posted it, but once I read a method in here for doing so:
Set a time at which you want to wake up.Let´s say 4 o´clock.
Now you sit in on your bed, in front of your pillow.Go down and hit the pillow with your head (softly ) four times. Then go to sleep, and you´ll wake up at four o´clock.
Sounds stupid, but it is really getting into your subcounciousness.
I honestly think that anyone can wake up at anytime with the intention to.
I have been reading about dream yoga and this involves waking every two hours through the night.
I had never done it before and one night without an alarm I just started waking every two hours.
Maybe if you know when you will dream you can tell yourself to become lucid at that time?.. I am gonna try it out.
