I tried projecting yesterday using the rope method as a way of exerting pressure on my astral body and i sometimes have trouble from the fear, that i get when Im lying on my back. sometimes i try to project from lying on my side, i never seem to have fear when i am lying on my right side. Does anybody know a technique that will exert pressure on my astral body from lying on my side?
I sometimes feel vertigo when i am on my back and also an increase in focal distance behind my closed eye lids. I am also able to see right through my eyes or even with my eyes open i am able to see through my bed cover which is covering my eyes. I take it that this is astral vision, anwyay i can do this from within 30 seconds from when i turn the lights off at night.
I have been close to having a concious out of body experience, i have been in trance a few times, but i only have had one OBE from within a dream, and about 4-5 lucid dreams.
i’ve been into Astral Projection and similar things for many years now, the one thing I have found out is that it is not neccessary to be in a specific possition.
The tips i have both from books and my mother (who can AP at will) is that the important things are to be able to quiet the mind, and be away from too much noise. The possitioning of your body can be what ever you wish. Since AP is done through being awake NOT sleep you can do it sitting up or any other possition you find comfortable and can maintain for long period of time.
The meathods you find work best for you should work whatever possition you are in, don’t fall into the trap of believing you have to do it a specific way or in a specific possition this is not true and can hinder your progress.

I wouldn’t think so, no. From the few APs i have had they took alot of concentration to initiate and i was always exhausted afterwards and either fell asleep immediately afterwards or needed to. In a few books there were reports of people claiming to have spontaneous APs while driving vehicles and watching themselves do so from high above. I personally do not believe that this was an AP but rather a Remote Viewing which works differently. Whenever i have managed AP i have not being conciously aware of what my body is doing, although i am aware that it is “somewhere”. So from my experience although it is done through being awake, you don’t really have much concious control of your pyhsical being, which i why i believe most people feel it’s like WILD.
Could you tell about books. - The books are all my mothers, if she still has them i will write a small list next time i go see her.
I can feel the “buzz” of my astral body if I concentrate, but I have to hold my breath. I wish I could learn to AP while being anywhere, at any time. That would be so cool.
People good at meditation would have the best chance. me I find it difficult to quiet my mind long enough to try it - that’s what holds me back from many things.
When I have OOBE, at the time it seems so easy, like I can do it anytime I want, but when its over i cant capture that feeling. When I project its hard for me to talk, or move. I really want to have another OOBE, I havnt had one in about three or four months. I use to have them all the time, but Im right now Im OK with lding, sence Ive had about 10 or 11 sence Ive started alittle over a month ago.
