Well, I’ve been working on getting a lucid dream for a while now and I’ve also been semi-succesfull at telekinesis (moved a bottlecap that was in a sealed container). But, whats weird is that when I asked my mom what she thought about these subjects, she said that she has always been able to have lucid dreams and that she once took a class where they had tests and mind power related things, and that she scored VERY high and was able to do whatever the test was correctly.
She also explained that her side of the family has always had a high success rate for those kind of things and has a knack for the supernatural.
This leads me to believe that these kind of things are related genetically, but what really bugs me is that my dad claims to have never had a dream, he’s also against anything to do with mind powers and scoffs at anything supernatural at all as does everyone on his side of the family I have met.
Could this mean that my mom’s side is very talented in this while my dad’s side of the family has little to no strength there and the two kind of cancel each other out making me have normal strength since I’m able to do most of the stuff if I work at it?
As far as I know LD’ing has nothing to do with the supernatural.
(and yes, I’m quite experienced in the subject)
My best guess is that it can be given through via genes, I asume characteristics of individual brains play a large role.
Can’t comment on telekinesis since I don’t believe in it.
(I mean, did you know that you can get 1,000,000 dollars for doing telekinesis under laboratory conditions? Still noone ever claimed it.)
I wasn’t saying Ld’ing had anything to do with the supernatural, just that I group it with that kind of stuff due to it being abnormal to most people.
And, no I didn’t know there was a reward for doing it under laboratory conditions. I may have to see if I can develope the skill and win. 
But, I had a thought earlier that maybe it’s not genetics but how open minded you are, that would fit because my mom is very open minded and so are my sister and I, but my dad has a very closed mind. I.E. he wont believe stuff sometimes if it’s proven right in front of him.
I’m very sceptic about everything yet have no problem LD’ing, it probably has more to do with your state of mind (calmness, concentration, that kinda stuff).
And abnormal is a looooong way from paranormal.
Whereas a frog with no legs is abnormal a ghost frog with a chakra powered bazooka reading peoples minds is paranormal.
I’ve always wanted one of those…
