Hey all, Ice to see you
I’m new here (first post) and have been trying to have lucid dreams for about a month now. Made a sigil, do RC’s, etc. Last night I had my first experience with the bitter herb, very intense dreams. Anywhay in one of several dreams, I was looking in the mirror. At some point my reflection stopped aping me and became its own entity. Needless to say this was somewhat shocking to my dream persona as I was not lucid. The being in the mirror got a giddish grin on his face, and started giggling. He moved to the corner of the mirror. Then he said, almost mockingly, “What’s the matter, are you hallucinating Brett (my name)?” and kept giggling. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience like this, maybe could tell me if this was just a random dream occurrence brought on by calea, or maybe another aspect of my Self that I am as yet unaware of? All comments welcome.
Thanks
Well, the ancients believed that using drugs like that either (in some cases) left you open to bad spirits, and (in other cases) led you on a spiritual journey, so I’d say that it might be a little bit of both. On one hand, things like that are numerous when using that kind of herb, but on the other hand, there may yet be some significance in the mirror dweller. If that made any sense to you whatsoever.
Yeah, I see what you mean. I think it’d be easier to pin it down if I was lucid in the dream. Maybe I could call it out or something. Interesting none the less. Thanks for the reply wolven
hmm…funny how that can be-- maybe our mirror entities do exist! we can never be sure!
The Mirror may be an alternate dimension with the same timeflow that’s identical to ours in every aspect.
Well…DCs say random things all the time…at least in my case.
If we were to take every weird dream and interpret it,we would be completeley different depending on the dreams…
So…it may be a random dream…
I’m not saying it can’t be anything else.
The mirror is a window to another dimension. It’s just impossible to go through it, because your reflection is blocking it.
Makes you wonder, what does your reflection look like if no one is there to see it? Who knows, if your back is turned on a mirror, maybe you’re making faces at yourself! At any rate, it’s another question for the zen Buddhists among us to dwell on
I used to think that… maybe it does…
Sounds kinda creepy…
I doubt it…
If it’s just an ordinairy mirror,it’s physically impossible.
If it’s a window, then that action would cause a tip in the timeflow, wich would cause a chain reaction in time, and have a massive effect over that dimension,so it’s bound to be the same, otherwise,we’d be seeing other stuff in that dimension.
That’s why i said it would have the same timeflow and actions…
Then again, how could you know either way…it’s all just speculation. I firmly believe that my reflection probably gets bored of staring at my back and goes out bowling when I’m not looking. Only when I turn around does he come back…that sneaky rat
I don’t think there was anything other than just having a creepy dream that involved your reflection. I don’t have any knowledge of the herb you mentioned and what it’s capable of doing other than what you wrote and it sounds like it enhances or helps enhance your dreaming.
In that case it was just your subconscious insecurities of the unknown. If you should ever get lucid go back to that point, I would suggest without creepy herbs, and talk to it or trying pulling it out or even go in and face it.
