Missed an oppertunity to become lucid

Well, as my last post stated, I have been having quite a bit of trouble becoming lucid. But lastnight I had a strange dream. In the dream I was talking to a friend about something that happened to me in real life earlier that day. After I woke up from the dream and was trying to recall everything, I had remembered that this had happenend.

One step closer?

Any comments? Tips? Suggestions?

I’d reply, but

confuses me .

When I woke up from the dream, I had realized that I remembered a real life event that was being recalled/talked about in the dream.

In the dream I was talking to a kid about stage fright. The kid was describing how you can act/perform flawlessly at home, but when you get in front of a croud you freeze up.

Earlier that day I had to play “Classical Gas” at school in a talent show and the first 30 seconds I couldn’t move.

In the dream, I interupted what the kid was saying and started talking about the tallent show.

Is this more clear? Sorry for not explaining myself well enough, I just just woken up.

I have had moments like this, but I would have to say that it’s pretty normal to dream about something thats fresh in your mind from the day before. sorry for the unencouraging news, but i felt obliged to give my opinion.

We often dream about things that happened to us throughout the day.

Notice after you watch a movie and think about it alot you have a dream about it? Or if you read harry potter before bed and thats been on your mind all day before going to bed, you dream about it?

That is why some people have success in “learning themselves lucid” they think about and read lucid stuff all day so that they may dream about lucidity and then relieze that they are dreaming.

But as for this it sounds to me like a ND

Ok, thanks WhiteWolf for the info… As suggested to me before, I should probably pick up some books on LD’s so I can, as you have said as well, learn myself lucid.
