i started a DJ to write down my dreams. the first 2 weeks i really wrote in it, but now its kinda empty… i already didnt write in it for days, because i have no dream recall…
it think its the foult of my alarm, because i can choose two things to wake up: 1. a music radia alarm (what is not good for dream recall) and 2. a very hard beeb noise. when i hear it i wake up so quickly i have no memories.
i also have not much motivation to write in my DJ because if i wake up, i remember almost nothing or its just a stupid dream of me, sitting in class
does somebody have any tips, ideas or theories about how i can improve my dream recall?
I would begin with changing your alarm. Try to find something a bit more relaxing then the classical alarm beep. You could also try timing your sleep patterns so you wake up during light sleep. I know there a few apps that can do this by monitoring movement of your mattress while you sleep. Unfortunately I cannot recommend any because I sleep on concrete, not a mattress, and concrete rarely moves.
You should also try to write down any dream you have, even if it was really boring.
Agree, keep writing even if it seems insignificant.
For example just today, while writing a ND in DJ, another previous one I had totally forgot just popped in my mind.
