Movies

when we watch a movie

there is a sensation of losing sense of self, and being one

it is not often that the movie watcher ever says “i am watching a movie” and thinks intricately and consciously, analyzing the experience of watching a movie

in this way,

as we always know we are watching a movie

I muse that we always know that we are dreaming , we just don’t DO anything about it!

but then I come into counter-points, namely clarity, there are truly dreams that seem like “no free will zones” and dreams that seem like “mega clarity party time”

thoughts?

Just one… my head hurts…

So you are saying that watching a movie is like watching a dream, only lucid, right?
But the bad part is that we have no control…But what is a baby is watching a movie,he thinks he’s IN the movie?
You’re saying that watching a movie needs no effort?
Well, when we’re watching th “movie” it’s like we’re watching a dream from the outside but when we’e dreaming we’re IN the movie…so it’s harder, much harder to become lucid.
Does that make sense?

I think you are PARTIALLY right. There’s a point, for example, related to the way we “keep distance” of the events in movies. Some of us cry with movies, some don’t. If we don’t like the movie, we just leave the theater, or turn off the DVD/TV or whatever
