Does anyone here think that its possible for a DC personality to develop enough to take control of the body? It sounds far fetched but it might be possible if someone inadvertently (or intentionaly) managed to give this hypothetical DC, sentience. Essentialy this is dream fueled multiple personality syndrome.
Interesting, Erhu. Technically they aren’t just Dream Characters made by your Subconscious, they are your Subconscious, only personified. However wacky, everything in your dream is you in some way, shape, or form. They are always with you, I guess. I know there’s a cool quote about that but I’m too busy listening to My Chemical Romance to care right now.
As for them “taking control”, I guess that through Placebo Effect it could happen, but otherwise I see no way that your Ego could change drastically like that in any way besides severe head trauma. If one had MPD/Shizophrenia I suppose that it is at least plausible, and likely as a matter of fact. Scary thought.

They are part of your subconcious, part of your mind. They can’t take over you. DC’s are just personifications, they can’t think (or do) anything by themselves.
Thinking they could take over you is like thinking your foot could attack your legs.

I’m a natural lucid dreamer, but I think that’s partly beacause the mother earth-like DC I’ve always felt in my dreams I confused as my reality ever since I was really young. I was the 7 yr old kid who talked to walls and thought she could move clouds with her thoughts…
