I got this new alarm clock that has a radio feature and normal beeping, to wake me up. Usually I’d use the radio feature, but lately I realized the actual beeping is more effective in getting me up. It’s main problem is the fact that it beeps REALLY load. Not like any ordinary one, As soon as it starts beeping I wake up 3-5 seconds later! Because of that, my Dream Recall (poof!) vanishes when that happens. Usually, as soon as I click the snooze button, I sleep some more, only to be waken up 5 minutes later by the alarm clock. This is repeated about 2-4 times until I get off my lazy butt and go take a shower.
All that leaves me with little recall …how can I reduce the chances of this?
You must build the intention to record your dreams every time you wake up, even in the middle of the night, don’t do anything before recording the dream or else it will go blank, I suggest you use the 5 mins of the snooze to do this, but even if you wake up spontaneusly you should record the dream, there is always a dream…
Get a better biological clock or whatever you call it. I think that if you wake up before your alarm clock goes off your problem is solved. This is sometimes easier said than done. Some people, such as myself, wake up naturally quite often. I suppose you’re not really one of them, otherwise I think you wouldn’t be asking for help here.
You know about autosuggestion and that sort of things, and I believe you said that it worked with you. What about using something similar for waking up? Set your intention that you will wake up before your alarm clock goes off. If you wake up you remember your dreams and write them down and when your alarm clock goes off it doesn’t make a difference for your dream recall.
