My Argument

Well, I haven’t posted up on LD4all in a long time, just got back into Lucid Dreaming after quite some time, and I must say I’m happy to be back

Well then, here’s my question, I had this silly argument with my brother, and I’m curious to know if I’m wrong or not.

We were talking about dreaming, he has taken 2 years of Psychology, and I’ve only had one. He says he learned that dreams ONLY last in 15 second intervals, now considering what I’ve experienced and learned, I think that’s wrong, because when I read up on researches on dreams as well as Lucid Dreams, it seems to prove this theory wrong.

I believe dreams last in like… 60 minute intervals whenever you enter REM stage.

Please correcct me if I’m wrong, I was just taught differently

Thanks in advance! :content:

Well in Stephen Laberge’s experiments the dreams were shown to last in real time.
The REM stage does get longer during the night, so the final dreams are longer than the first dreams of the night.

… and  welcome back :yay:

Yup, I have his Book,

“Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming” and it’s his experiments and research that I’m referring to O.o

But am I really able to say that against a psychology professor?

Maybe they do last in 15 second intervals but FEEL longer. Who knows :meh:.
