My Dog's Dreams

I hope this is the right place for this post…

I often wonder what my dog dreams about. He is always napping and his little paws flip back and forth. Then a mummer of a bark, then another a little louder. I can see his eyes lids moving back and forth. I wonder do i wake him or let him be. Normally i leave him alone but often he is whimpering and moaning in his dreams, at which point i slowly go over and pet his face very gently until he awakes. He is usually a bit puzzled and will let out a muffled whimper/yawn and lick my face with great enthusiasm, then he flops over and goes back to sleep…

I wish he had a dream journal that he could share with me…

My cat had a nightmare once.

I used to have a bunk bed, with the upper bed only halfway covered. The cat used to sleep there. Once, she literally jumped up from her sleep with a small sound, ran into my bed, and curled up shivering on top of me. I really wonder what she dreamt.
