My Experience With WILD

Well, I read a few nights ago on how to have a WILD dream. Sounded easy enough, so today, (actually a few hours ago) I layed on my bed and closed my eyes, looking at the light patterns that came above me. Eventually, it felt like I was going into a new world, it was kind of like a slide. Sadly, I wasn’t concious, but I did wake up to a dream. After 10 seconds of the dream, I realized I was dreaming, and from the excitedness, I woke up  Anyone else have WILD experiences

Congratulations on your WILD attempt. Even though you lost your consciousness, you’ve still remembered that you’re dreaming. The problem was that you couldn’t control your emotions. Next time you have a LD, stay calm and stabilise the dream before doing your LD stuff. While WILD is generally considered a difficult technique, it seems that it’s not that hard for you, since you have almost succeeded at it. I would simply advise to practice it further. That will probably result in a LD.
You may do WILD alongside with MILD. Therefore, if you happen to fall asleep normally, you will have your mantras as a backup.

Good luck on your future attemps!

Hi, Amythest444!

Congratulations of your WILD and short LD  I had almost the same situation when I did the WILD succesfully for a first time. I’ve been lying for a WILD, trying to keep my conciousness awake, after a while I also felt this “slide” feeling (I think that’s the feeling of a SP, because when I was “slinding” I had strange “paralyzing” feelings in my whole body, do you have some as well?) and entered the dream. I appeared (in dream) in my bed, fully concious, but the LD wasn’t clear, it was dark everywhere. I felt like I’m waking up, so I started to spin - it helped a bit. I opened the door in my room using “power” - I took aim at them with my hand and thought of opening - and got out of the room. Then, to try the possibilities of a dream, I tried to call a random person: I said her name and thought about her, then I saw her in the room, smiling and playing with a mobile phone. But when I make a move toward and said “Hello” I woke up.

I think it’s all about emotions and critical and conciouss mind - if someone’s getting too excited or forget keep thinking he’s still in dream it won’t take long to wake up or trasform into normal dream

Good luck with your next attempts, hope you’ll have very nice LDs to share!

Thanks! I attempted it again today and I did feel like my body was electrifying or something. But I got scared, because just SUDDENLY out of no where, it changed into other types of HH , so I got kinda scared of that and woke up immidiatly XD. Guess I’d better try again later today

I dare to say that this is the reason why you succeeded…

You saw the technique, and use it, with no distractions like: this is hard, or what I’m going to do if I feel SP, or bla bla bla…

And there was no doubt, it sounded easy therefore it was easy!

Uuuu I just love simplicity!

Congrats!

The thing is I had that dream before I joined LD4all, and read about the sleep paralysis, once I read about the sleep paralysis, I started thinking it’s going to be hard. -sigh-
