Ok, I think I finally had one!
actually, I woke up immediately after realizing I was dreaming
but then, a few nights later, I realized I was dreaming, but it was extremely hazy(it only lasted a few minutes). I managed to jump up and hang in the air for a few seconds, after which it started to fade.
Anyhow, I’m looking forward to having a fully lucid dream in the near future.
And in case anyone was wondering, both times I got lucid by recognizing dream signs.
It occurs that some LD’s look like blurry. I suppose it will be better in your next LD’s. But you can also artificially increase vividness in your LD by shouting something like “More clarity!” “Increase clarity!” etc.
Thanks-- my dream recall could be better, which may be why my dreams seemed so blurry. Actually, I stopped trying to induce LDs a coupla weeks ago(spring term just started full-swing), and these were both achieved, as I mentioned before, by recognizing dream signs.
i was so close to having one yesterday, my maths teacher was trying to give me some type of punishment , writing it on a big paper with a glowy pen in the middle of the night- i suddenly realised that it was a dream but i woke up … But i’ve realised that if you really try to induce LDs they won’t happen…I stopped trying cuz i need to rest well these days(i have exams) and it was just happening…How shall i rest in my dream and not wake up ?
This happens. It’s why many people here suggest that a person takes a short break from trying to LD if they’re having no luck over a long time.
It mainly works because supressed thoughts (in this case, the idea of having an LD) has an easier time getting into your dreams then other thoughts.
I wouldn’t advise you to carry on like this though . If you’d like my advice, I’d say pick a tech (MILD and WBTB are good together), pick some RC’s a keep a DJ.
These three things will make recognising DS far easier.
Otherwise you may stop getting LD’s, or if you do carry on getting them (which is quite unlikly), you won’t get them anywhere near as freqently.
But now you’ve had one (well, two) you should have an easier time inducing them.
