My first LD, or maybe not..

Hey!
I think I had my first LD tonight, but I’m not sure if it was an LD. I dreamed that I was in my room with my mother. We were talking about shoes and stuff. Them suddenly, the shoes of my mother changed. I thought: “What?! That’s not possible. This is a dream.” After that, I did a reality check and after that I knew it was a dream. I was really excited, and because of my excitement my LD almost changed in a normal dream. I walked downstairs but I almost got into a normal dream again. I started to rub my hands, but it was to late and I went back into a normal dream.

Now my question: Was it a lucid dream or not?

Yes, it was a LD for sure! Congratulations!

Especially with your first lucid dreams it can be difficult to remain lucid (or even asleep) when you find out you are dreaming. You should check out some articles in the FAQs and Tutorials section of the forum about mastering your emotions and how to stay lucid.

But you did a better job then me, my first LD lasted about 5 seconds :wink:
