My FIRST LD!!

After 6 months of trying, trying and trying and more trying and having had the frustration of failing constantly … i got my very first low-LD

And I was just about to the point of abondoning LD’ing forever.

A wise tip in the book “7 Days to lucid dreaming” made my believes about LD’ing change. I think that was the key for my LD.
Anyway i wanted to share it with everyone here who also have problem with LD.

The point of it is really, letting go of the fact of trying to get an LD. Autosuggestions like “I will have a LD tonight” etc just didnt work for me.
What the auther of that book says, is just don’t try to LD anymore. Just believe that you DO have the ability to get them, just like everyone else. If do try to get an LD and it doesnt work, you will get angry and start to stress, which obviously prevents them from occuring.
If i can do it, so can you.

It’s very strange, but after reading that text, i had a very strange feeling of confidence in my abilities to LD. For the first time, I went to bed with the full 100% confidence of that i WILL have a lucid dream, but i didnt suggest it to myself.

Anyway, my dream was a very short LD. I was at work and an ex collegue of mine showed up at work in work clothes, so i thought, WTF, this can’t be real, im going to do a RC. My DC said what??? i’m also going to do it. I looked at my hands and breathed thrue my nose and they both showed that i was dreaming. After this is lost lucidity i think, since i started throwing boxes etc to the windows which i would never do in an LD. (I always wanted to fly )

Anyway thank you all for your help in the past 6 months or so. I think i now have the confidence to start MILD or maybe WILD.

Very cool.

You’ve finally done it! Congradulations!

Congrats on your first LD hekimoglu!

What you describe is the very basis of autosuggestion: believing and having confidence in the result. It worked because you understood suddenly how autosuggestion truly worked.

I don’t believe in not thinking about LDing. I won’t lie to myself.

Oh and congrats! :balloon:

hey congratulation!

Woohoo! Congrats!

Congratulations! It was learning what you just learned that helped me with LDs.
