My first Lucid Dream!

I visited the webpage a few times a year ago and i tried LD-ing, but it didn’t work. But a week ago i visited the page again + forums. I’ve tried 4 nights this week, but it didn’t work and i was very tired every morning… (i did remember my dreams though.)

But last night i had my first LD! The strange thing is, i didn’t even try this time.

Anyways, it were 2 LD’s actually. The first one was just a normal dream, until i saw 2 anime characters running towards me. But it was all very normal to me, until i noticed they weren’t moving towards me, they were stuck in the same place while running. And then i realized! Oh My God! I’m lucid! The second after that i woke up. -_-

Kinda dissapointed, i went to sleep again, and i found myself at the train station (i go there every morning). But this time i immediately knew i was dreaming. (Didn’t perform a RC)

The dream went like this: Some guy dropped his bag and 3 guys started beating him up, but i didn’t really care, i was too excited about the fact that i was Lucid. I started jumping around but i couldn’t fly. After that i started calling for my Spirit Guide, but there was no response.

After there was no response i got kinda scared of waking up/losing lucidity so i started screaming. ‘I’m dreaming! I’m dreaming!’ I kept running around the train station screaming for a while. O_o

Then i noticed the guy who dropped his bag, the other guys were still punching him! I decided to help him and beat up the 3 guys. I made myself extremely strong and grabbed the first guy and threw him trough a glass wall. Second guy: I punched him and he went K.O. Third guy was very large… we jumped onto the railroad track, he punched me, i punched him, he was just as strong as me! He grabbed me by the throat and i kept punching him, but i didn’t help. I almost fainted, but i looked at him and i used telekinesis. I ‘punched’ his face in the ground and he was dead. (Never knew i could be so violent.)

After that i woke up in my parents bed and i was very happy that i had my first LD experience/was able to use telekinesis. Then i woke up again, in my own bed, this time i was really awake.

The only thing that bothered me was that i was very anxious the whole time, i was afraid of waking up/losing ludicity, so i kept thinking “I’m dreaming! I’m dreaming!”.

It was a very cool experience overall. And i hope i’ll have more LD’s.

P.S. I’m dutch, but in my dreams i speak/think english. I think it’s because i’ve read these forums too much the last couple of days.

Hey there. Congratulations on your first lucid! It’s definitely something you’ll never forget.

I’m glad you decided to go back and help that guy who was getting beat up. Alot of times I think our lucids present us with questions of morality and we should act/treat our DCs how we would want to be treated. I mean the idea is that they are all just a part of us anyway, but who knows, maybe they could be something more. Maybe in helping them you are helping yourself…and by respecting them you are showing yourself respect.

Next time you have trouble flying. try growing some wings. I love flying with wings it’s so different but you have so much more control. And remember to do those RCs…especially when you wake up because had you done an RC and realized you were still dreaming in your parents bed you could have turned that FA into a cool LD. Usually I can always recognize an FA and I love them because it’s like…“continue being lucid?” and I’m like…“heck yeah!” hehe. Anyways, congrats!

Welcome to the forum!

Heh…habit, ya know.
Anyway, once you’ve had an LD or two, the anxiousness should go down. Usually, the first couple of times you go lucid, you’re so anxious to do something fun, or just excited that you’ve acually done it, that you wake up or spoil most of the lucidity, but it sounds like you actually did pretty good  . My first ten LDs or so I wasn’t able to do anything more than walk around, and even then I’d wake up before long.

Keep up the good work! Also, with flying, growing yourself some wings really does help. Also try strapping on a jet pack or grabbing a bunch of balloons, or whatever you feel like. Basically, if you’re new to dreaming, find something for your mind to grasp onto. It’s difficult to just take off flying because it goes against all your mind’s past experience with life. Giving it an explanation makes it easier.

Nina, I LOVE flying with wings too! My second fave would be hang gliding in dreams. Way cool feeling, you just lay down and look around at the world beneath you.

Welcome to the forums Pscyhoray!
I wish i had a fight with someone in my dreams like yours, and more using Telekinesis.

Im speak spanish always irl but im like you in my dreams/thoughts,English.

wait… this is a little off-topic, but are you people saying that you think in words? Or just when you think about/imagine yourself of someone else talking?

When I think, I generally think in words, because it’s like I imagine I’m talking with somebody.

Wow, thats so weird, how different people percieve things so differently. I guess noone really has anything to compare thier way of thinking to, so we all just develop a different ‘style’… :om:
