my first MILD... I mean WILD !

Im typing this still in bed.

I woke up at 7:00 and decided to clear my mind and do MILD. I did mantras, visualized a lucid dream and all that stuff but since its really hard for me to fall asleep and that i woke up a little late, i wasnt able to fall asleep. I then decided to just let my thoughts flow and that sleep will come. It didnt. Everytime i was falling asleep, my mind was making me up. I was very annoyed because it’s like my mind was not tired anymore and didnt wanna go to sleep and it frustrated me.
So yeah for some reason i started daydreaming about a van similar to the scooby doo one on the road. My daydream was like an epic intro to a movie and it said :
But what they dont know… Is that we are … Dreeeeaaaaamiiiiinnnggggg. And then the intro music with the epic guitar solo in it just got louder, and louder, and louder , and LOUDER . It was all over my head and my body started to feel really weird. I dont know how to describe it in english… You know when you got shivers all over your body because of the cold ? Well intensify that feeling by three and remove the cold. It really felt like my body was going to sleep and it just felt so weird. AAHH i dont know how to describe it. XD I felt the movement of my leg falling on the bed (it was on top of my other leg) but i didnt feel my leg, i only knew it was falling on the bed. As the feeling ( and the music ) intensified, i told myself : what the heck ? I want MILD, not WILD ! My body was just on fire lol but my head was amazingly aware of everything.
I figured out i would continue to attemp SP. Unfortunately, I almsot saw NO guides on WILD and started breathing too hard because of the confusion and excitement and the feeling ( and the music ) just slowly flew away. I then realized I needed to control my breathing. Also i found it really easy to just think about something else, even if the image and the music is almost raping you lol.
It was AWESOME, i dont really mind that i didnt achieve SP, it takes me too long to fall asleep so this technique isnt for me, i aint got the patience. Im a little more frustrated of not falling asleep because I was REALLY motivated and I had a very good feeling that i was on the right path and could easily LD if i would fall asleep. Oh well
Im gonna try tea

EDIT

Now that I am at my computer, fully awake with my cereals and my cat, I can write more details ! The whole hour I tried to sleep, I tried to not think about WILD, so it was always in the back of my head. Every time my mind woke me up just before drifting to sleep, I was like : Don’t think WILD, don’t think WILD !
In SP, I tried moving my shoulder but I wasn’t able to.
It’s not like I was struggling with moving it and it didn’t wanted to move, it was more like by brain didn’t wanna do it. So i tried my fingers XD
I think breathing loudly and excited, with moving my fingers, was probably why I didn’t stay in SP

Hy joyness Panda, my first thought is that you were maybe sleeping to long, and once you woke up, just like you said you didn’t feel like going sleep again, but you didn’t mentioned how long where you sleeping… so just a thought, I can’t say for sure!

This “thing” you just described, the exactly same thing happened to me… Been up for some time, maybe 20 minutes top, and then trying MILD, but only thing that I was doing from MILD technique was mantra, nothing else, not even visualized myself in a dream… So still sleepy in my bed, I was repeating mantra, and then just all of a sudden start falling a sleep. But the cool thing was that I was fully conscious of my body, and aware of that what I’m doing.

And then I found myself in a dream… And also with music in the background… Still conscious, I start to feel that sensation you described, the SP… But I start question myself, and this feeling to, first music start to fade away, and then a dream, but certainly the best experience after LD’s.

So it’s seems that we experienced the same thing… Cheers!

Haha nice ! I’m happy we had he same feeling, so fantastic !
But… is this the right way of doing MILD ?
I know WILD is falling asleep while still being aware but is MILD supposed to be like falling asleep without being aware of it and THEN realize we are dreaming ? Or is it like entering a dream while being aware of it ? xD
Anyway yeah, I think I slept for too long

I think you were doing it correct… But what happened to us looks more like WILD. I’m doing MILD at most of the time, and I think that MILD includes RC and autosuggestion, so when your in bed, repeat your mantra for some time, and then visualize yourself in a dream becoming lucid, but I’ve never
succeed completely in MILD, because I’ve never find my self in a dream that I dreamed before… Because MILD is about that, after waking up for WBTB we should imagine ourselves becoming lucid in a dream that was the last one we remember after waking up.

But still working on MILD… And one of my goals is to return to Jupiter, as you can see under my lucid goals , so I need to imagine myself back on Jupiter and then become lucid!

So try that yourself this night, use your last dream and imagine yourself in that dream becoming lucid! I’m trying get back to Jupiter for 3 days now, still nothing, but I won’t gave up, it was to damn good!

Hey thanks for the info dude ! Now I understand A lot more
Unfortunately, when I woke up, I didn’t remember any dreams so I visualized myself being lucid in the past days’ dreams ^^ Good luck on going back to Jupiter dude !

Heh thanks…
Yes, it’s ok to use dreams from days before when you don’t remember any fresh ones, I mean it’s also the only way to do MILD correctly!
And I think when we will have more experience in this, that we will be able to re dream any previous dream that we want… I mean, it would be cool!

It seems you were trying to MILD, but maybe your body was a little more sleepy than your mind, so you started falling asleep while being aware of it. Congrats! It can be an awesome experience, you should just be passive and enjoy the ride. Go with the flow and you’ll end up in a dream, lucid, if you’re able to maintain consciousness.

And yeah, MILD requires you fall asleep unconsciously and realize you’re in a dream after one has started. As far as I know you don’t have to get into a previous dream for it to be a MILD. You may use one to visualize becoming lucid and just get lucid in another dream. But anyway, MILD or WILD, LD’s are LD’s! Almost all my WILD’s are like that, they get me by surprise.

Good luck to you two!

hey thanks ! Yeah next time i’ll enjoy the ride. When it happened, I freaked out a little bit
