I became lucid by asking myself if I was dreaming and then the whole world changed before my eyes and I knew I was. So I went outside and started to fly and then thought to myself that my alarm clock might go off soon so I started trying to do as many things as I possibly could all at once and then I lost lucidity. Is that normal?
Perfectly normal. We had discussion few days ago what happens when you think about waking life within the dream. Some have problem with that, specially so tricky things as was yours.
You were thinking about time, alarm and getting up. Then you panicked and try to do as much as you could. But this assumption that you could wake up actually made you wake up.
When you become lucid, try not to worry about WL. About time and worries. It will probably “kill” your lucidity. Whenever you become lucid, calm down. Always plan what are you going to do in next LD. Then this sudden urge to do as much as possible will not be so strong.
In the essence, keep calm, have a goal and relax!
Couldn’t have said it any better myself!
Whenever I had a LD, anything that involved my WL was an immediate lucidity killer! My heart rate would increase, and I would either completely wake up, or I would slowly watch as I would fade out and lose control.
Remember that you are the director of your own movie, you have the power to change it at any moment. If you want it to last longer/be more lucid/etc… just say the word!
I think you all read I wrote wrong. I see what you all are saying however and that makes complete sense but let me be a little more in depth with you. It sounds like what you all are talking about is waking up from an ld. That’s not what happened to me. Basically this is what happened. I was sitting on a school bus with my friend and a bunch of crazy things were going on all at once and at that point I said to myself, man this is so crazy I might as well be dreaming. And then every thing started to wave and go black and white and then fade to black and I was like oh god. So I clasped my hands together and calmed down real quick and managed to stay in my dream. Here’s when shit got weird
Once I noticed I was dreaming and stopped myself from waking up I looked at my friend next to me and Wanted to be like. Bro I’m dreaming! By then I realized every single person on the bus stopped talking and shower no emotion. As if they were zombies. That’s when I realized they arent real what do they care. So I made the bus stop in my head and I walked outside and started flying around while they just watched me. Then I started to think to myself wait. This is a rare opportunity and I might wake up any second I should do something more unique than flying. So I was going to try to create a building and put people in it but I thought that would be too complicated so then I decided that I would land and try to be like spider man. Well I think I was screwed at this point because I think I landed and somehow had already made the building and I walked inside and tried to shoot webs out of my hand and everyone was like what r u doing and ten I forgot I was dreaming and they were all laughing at me
Oh, my bad! When you wrote that you lost lucidity I immediately thought that you wake up.
So, you lost lucidity but still continue dreaming without knowing that you are dreaming? Well I prevent this with constant RC’ing. Whenever I change something or fail to change something I make RC…
