My holy grail technique!

Ok, dont no if this is a proven technique, and many of the ideas are ones i hav picked up frm the gr8 advice on this site :wink:. But here goes:

I lack motivation (unfortunetely) and practice no LD techniques during the day RC’s etc… however at night i lay and try to relax, whilst lying on my left side (could this b becos im left handed?), try right for right handers… i have found that a strange combination of focusing on my state of mind and normal relaxation has allowed me to expierience OBE effects…

I tend to look inward. If u dont no wot i mean by this, i mean i kinda focus my vision inside my head or stare at my eyelids (if this makes any sense?) I then feel my body start to go a little numb, so i concentrate on these areas (usually starts with the feet and sometimes your hands can feel really big!)

If i manage to stay relaxed, i then hear the typical OBE banging noise and voices etc… unfortunetely this is when i normally wake up, but im getting better and now even the banging seems quiter and i can sometimes control what the voices are saying. This first stage is easy tho- all you need to do is be aware but empty your mind of thoughts. It really is quite easy, and make sure ur not afraid of OBE’s (remember its all in ur head). Once i got over this i was having the beginnings of OBE’s every night

I wud suggest any1 who is having trouble practicing LD should try this technique. It works everynight for me, and i believe (and have been told) that with practice, this could turn into a high control LD. I just need to work on the next stage- will try tonight! :smile:

sounds like a form of WILD. keep it up, if you can wild, then it will certinaly pay off for you! i myself can not wild, it destorys any chance i have of sleeping at all., but if you are lucky and can, go for it. keep us updated with how u go :happy:

thanks. i know wot u mean about losing sleep :eek: - alot of the time i just give up cos im too tired! Hope it does pay off tho. Good luck aswell… ii’ll keep u posted.

Its a good idea I use the concept of OBE aswell in a WILD technique where I spin myself around and kind of roll out, stepping into my bedroom. You should try that becaue imagining yourself spinning will put you into a sleep state much faster!

Xetrov- I want to try your spinning method again tonight, but i dont think im doing it right… how many times do you spin/how fast do you usually have to spin to get the right feeling before you try to roll “out” of your body?

Steve- i know that this wasnt directed at me, but ithink that maybe there is no definate amount of times you have to spin or an exact speed you have to spin, that would be far too many rules and every body is different. i think you have to find the right speed for you and the right amount of spins.
