My last two dreams ND

I had a dream the day before yesterday that i was drunk for no reason… i wanted to go to the bathroom but someone was all ready in there. Then all of a sudden i got dizzy and felt really really drunk. It was difficult to walk. i then said to myself, Why the hell am i drunk? Then i lost balance and woke up…

My dream last night was about drugs. My friends gave me an organge drink and they said here have a sip! Its called “sweat”. They said it doesnt taste that good but it gives you the best feeling! I had a little sip and a couple of minutes later i had the best feeling (in my dream). They told me the drink was like marijuana but way stronger. A small glass is equivalent to 6 cones or somethinglike that…

Anwyay i was curious about these dreams so i looked up the symbols…

DRUGS In general they relate to whatever you associate with the particular drug. For instance aspirin would connect with your attempts to deal with pain; hallucinogens to the meeting with unconscious material, or the attempt to avoid reality. Drugs usually change the way you feel, so the drug in the dream may be indicating this change of feeling.

I think this is the connection in my attempt to lucid dream (unconsious material?)

DRUNK This can either mean you are feeling out of control, or that you are being unreasonable. It occasionally means you are filled with power from inspiration, or connection with a more expansive sense of yourself.

the last sentence seams quite right…
Why does the brain pick out these symbols? Why doesnt it just tell you directly? I semas pretty dam right though…

I semas pretty dam right now too.

its pretty wild how the mind uses abstract imagery and odd storylines to get a point across. Sometimes lucid dreaming can be detrimental to the subconcious’ attempts to tellus things…when we have non-lucid dreams that we remeber quite vividly, we should certainly do our best to analyze them because they could have a lot to do with how we react in waking life. The dream symbols, however, are different for everyone, like you said, because we all associate things differently. You probably hit the nail on the head. But who the hell knows why the mind doesnt come right out and tell us things. There are instances in history, especially Biblical history, when kings or leaders had strange dreams that seemed to make no sense at the time, but with the help of a trusted prophet or interpreter were able to stave off some great disaster or situation in their lives. We certainly have a complex mind!! :help:
