Hello everyone ! I was looking for a LD community and found here.I was keen on LD , i used some techniques too but , i didn’t reach my goal (having a LD).
Anyways , a few weeks before i had my first LD.And i want to share with you and get help for a few things.
In my dream i was in my elemantary school.But in my dream it was my high school.Anyway , when i was stepping down from the stairs , i realized something.“It’s my elemantary school , but my friends from high school in here.”
Then i understood it was a LD.First thing came to my mind was looking to my hands.I didn’t see six fingers or something extraordinary.But when i looked my hands , something tried to shut my eyes.I resisted and i said “Noo,noo not now !” But i failed and woke up.
But in my dream even looking my hands was exciting.And i want to improve that and see much more LDs.So how can i stay in my dream ? How can i be more focused and do whatever i want in LD ?
And one more question that i have to ask.Was this a pre-lucid or low level lucidity ? Thank you…
P.S. Sorry if i made mistake in writing I’m not English…

There are several techniques in order to maintain lucidity.
Here are a few examples:
Try to focus on something (though, you kind of did that in this case). But try to FOCUS on it rather than LOOK at it.
Yell out “increase lucidity x10!”
Take a pill (inside the dream) which will prolong your lucidity
Rotate around your own axis (spin around)
Do a lot of reality checks
Calm yourself down
To be honest, there can be 1000 reasons why you woke up early. Maybe you were too excited? If waking up will become your main problem with lucidity, then you must keep practicing to stay inside the dream. It can be frustrating, and you need a lot of patience. What you can’t forget is that some people need to simply accept the hard truth and deal with a problem for a longer time…

It’s only obstacle between me and lucidity is focusing.I won’t give up.Because I feel very close to LD s.
Wow in this situation 3o sec. would be like heaven for me All i did until know was looking my hands only.I hope it will become longer in recent days.
Well I did a cowardness last night.I tried WILD technique.I saw color patterns,I heard a sharp noise in my brain.But I scared , what if this lead to a nightmare ? So I awoke before I see a HH .I need an encouragement and become lucid a few times I think to use this technique…
All I am afraid is that If a open my eyes I will see a bad hallucination and it will make me give up to this technique.But I feel so close to lucidity with WILD so I don’t wanna give up.Before I knew this technique (even lucidity itself) I was hearing my friends voices , I was feeling like I’m falling and sharp noises but I wasn’t bothering.
But know after I read about this technique I don’t know it seems scary to me.I know it’s not real.But i can’t go forward.It’s like a watching a horror movie ; you know it’s not real but you get scared.
I thik I will try in an afternoon nap first.It’s not dark and I feel more couraged when I think of in this way.
I know what you mean. The few times I am about to get SP, I feel a very disturbing feeling in my body. I always move my body to prevent it, because I know it will be scary. But I always regret that I cancelled it, afterward…
there are many ways to increase lucidity and stay in dreams. For example, in one of my LD s, I rubbed my hands together. In the other, I yelled “increase lucidity!” but whatever works for you.
