My recent experiences, plus my favourite dreamfood.

[size=9]Hello, this is my first post on here, Ive been reading around the forums for a while and I am really enjoying reading everyones experiences. So I thought it was time to contribute as well.

About three months ago I was having a lousy time sleeping, waking up repeatedly and didnt feel like I was sleeping deeply enough. So i started to search around for information on improving sleep and soon found LD4all. I had had maybe 1 or 2 very brief ld’s before and was excited to read about everyones success with RC’s, MILD’s etc. and also that certain supplements & foods can improve chances of ld’ing. So i started to do reality checks - hands and nose, and also trying to remember to have a good look at anyhting strange during the day and question whether i was dreaming.

Anyhow after a few weeks nothing happened So I decided to try vitamin b6, starting with 50mg. Straight away I had a very vivd dream, followed by a high quality lucd dream. The following night I tried 20mg of vitamin b6, nothing happened. The night after that 40 mg , and again had a good ld.
However I did notice that I was also getting a couple of minor headachesw with this, and after the final night I was feeling decidedly “Woozy” the next day. Anyone else get this?

So i’ve paused taking b6 for now.

However my other discovery is that spanish omelette is an excellent dream food. Loads of eggs & cheese, and potatoes for sleepiness and vivd dreams, but no ld’s for me on this yet!

Does anyone know of any supplements that would act like the b6 without the side effects?

I think I read somewhere that banana’s help to make your dreams more vivid as well. There’s also a vitamin in there (possibly b6) that makes it easier to remember your dreams.

It always seems to work for me

I always forget how much, but there is a recommended limit for B6 and taking too much can cause serious nerve damage. I think that you were bellow that limit though. But then again, if you got headaches it’s probably a good idea to stop taking it  Maybe you already have enough B6 in your diet?

Some people have good results with bananas, milk, cheese, apple juice and even mustard! I haven’t noticed anything special myself, but it’s just a matter of experimenting and being aware of results.

and welcome to ld4all

Will orange juice do as well? We’re out of apple juice

Do I have to eat\drink such food right before going to bed or can there be a few hours between them?
