Need some motivation...

I’ve been keeping a dream diary for a while, and it has 160 entries, but I just forget/can’t be bothered with the LD techniques. I’ve tried SSILD which led to strange buzzing states, and MILD which can be tedious. When I found out about LD it was so fascinating, but I think I underestimated the effort required to become proficient at it. I have had a few moments of lucidity which were motivating but I guess it is just keeping up a habit until you can do it regularly…any tips on how you guys stay motivated?

What really keeps me motivated, is thinking about things that have happened to me that push me closer to an LD. The sensations that comes with everything is so peaceful, that I really enjoy going to bed and trying them out. Just try relaxing sometime in bed, and just daydreaming. It’s so very peaceful. Don’t forget that with techniques you don’t need to continually practice them. A week maximum for one technique and then go a few days without anything, I find that I always have my good dreams on the days I don’t try as hard.

Don’t give up hope! Learning to become lucid again wasn’t too much of an effort to me, since I’d already had lucid dreams as a kid, which kind of already gave me the feeling. Don’t forget, I was obsessed about lucid dreaming. I remember the first time I became lucid again, last year. I hope everyone gets that feeling every now and then. Just unbeliebable.
This part might be hard, but it’s only a beginning. Once you’ve had your first LD, you will get hold of that feeling, which will result in having lucid dreams more frequently.

Think about why you want to have a LD. Make a list of all the things that you want to do in a LD. Think about the list before you go to bed, and during WBTB attempts. That always keeps me going.
