New into lucid dreaming, i never had a lucid dream, (Help)

So, i am very new into lucid dreaming, i need some tips and stuff what to do, any ebooks that i should read?, well i really wanna learn this lucid dreaming… so please give me some tips.

Moved from General Lucidness. :dragon:

Well, reading the guide and this forum resulted in LD’s for me, so that might help. Best thing is just to try multiple methods and see which works for you.

Some common stuff that worked for me:

  • Don’t try to WILD when going to bed, WBTB or WILD after a few hours sleep works better
  • Do regular RC’s at moments in waking life that also often occur in your dreams (pinching my nose and trying breath worked best for me)
  • Keep a dream journal to improve your dream recall and look for common dream signs that can help you get lucid.
  • Make sure you sleep enough hours (8 hours or more)
  • It’s best to start trying to when you got plenty of time to experiment with setting alarms for WBTB, so you don’t end up dead tired at school/work.
  • Playing an mp3 of about 2 hours with beeps every couple of minutes also worked for me to get some LD’s

The FILD tecnique is pretty good, it just takes some practice, because once you get in, it is usually a very low lucidity, so you have to know how to raise your lucid level.

2 words: dream journal.

This is EXTREMELY important because you need to be able to remember your dreams. The more you write in it, the better dream recall you have. Trust me:)

Find a blank notebook/journal and every time you wake up in the morning take a few minutes to remember your dream, then write everything you remember down in the journal:)

If you want a book to read i recommend EWLD.

I agree; a DJ is VERY important, and EWLD is a good book

The FAQ’s and Tutorials Section as well as the Article Space have some great material that any new dreamer should go through.
