New member - just got lucid!

Hi! Iv’e been trying to get lucid for some time now and I did everything and more and then I got tired of trying and just went to sleep without thinking about becoming lucid and you know what? My first signs of lucidity!!! Well, I was actually laying in my bed and I thought I was awake and I heard my mom behind me (visiting my parents for the summer) and then I remembeurd, I just came from the trainstation where I droped her and my dad of so that they could go on a vacation here in Sweden.

Well I got really scared at first becouse I really felt like I was awake, and I clearly heard voices (going crazy?) and then I understood it was the lucidity, but still it was an overwhelming feeling and then I took controll of the situation and did as one of the guides had said “lucidity X 1000”, well in that moment my dad called me and I woke up with my heart in my throuth, felt like I was having a heart atack

Well that was two days ago and this night well, i felt like I was awake, and I thought maybe Im not, Then I said “well I know I’m awake”, and still I checked the clock twice (like the guide said) and well I was lucid but just in that moment I get pulled back in to the dream and forgot about it, weird. Getting there though.

Well, It was just weird that when I stopped trying to get lucid then I got closer to it.

If you actually want to get lucid don’t stop. Have a DD/DJ, record your dreams somewhere with as much detail as you remember them and you’ll see the effecs in about 3 weeks or a month - if you are a beginner.

Now, the first LD (or quick lucid state) is allwais “strange”, becuase you are used to your RL body and in dreamlife you feel slightly strange. You’ll see, the second time will be something like “eh…it was just a LD which didn’t make me too happy”. Then the third will be better and then you can call yourself a lucid dreamer :content:.

Don’t give up - remember to calm down when you become lucid in a dream, or else you risc waking yourself up. Just grabb and object in your LD and hold it tight. That should make the LD more stable.

Congratulations! Yeah, it’s really easy to lose lucidity when you become too focused in the dream. Don’t give up! You did great by recognizing you were lucid and enhancing your lucidity! Best of luck.
