hi im new to this site just wanted to ask a few questions about LD like how long it took yo what you had to do how you knew you were dreaming expereances things like that
iv never had a full LD but these are some of my expereances
i would go look at my digital alarm clock to see what time it is then i would fall to sleep then i would wake up but i would think i am awake then i would look at my clock again and instead of it telling the time it would have ASLEEP written on it i was like WTF! then i would realise i am asleep that happend last night then i could do anything.
i would be dreaming not knowing that i am dreaming and then something apears in my dream that i know doesnot belong or i get a feeling that something does not feel right.
About how long it takes, it’s really hard to say, some people had their 1st LD the day they heard about it, some other a month later, one year later, you have to know that about LDing, every person is different from another. Maybe you knew it but there’s also natural lucid dreamers, which can have LDs at will or simply every night.
You say that you got lucid in your dream, but did you enjoy it? Did you have time to do something cool? Or maybe you just woke up? If that’s the case there’s a section on the main site where you can find some tips to stay in your dream.
last night was my first LD that i had after i realised i was asleep i could do anything one of the things that i wanted to was to step through the stargate so i thought of it and i was there and all the people were there aswell it was cool but they never last long i always end up waking up sometime after i know i am dreaming
If you want to stay in your dream longer, try spinning or holding on to something in the dreamscape. If you keep interacting with the dream with as many senses as you can, you should be able to stay put and continue with your lucid escapades. I have found that spinning works the best; the sense of vertigo you feel keeps you in the dream better than anything else ever could.
