There is no problem with trying to convince eachother, it will not lead to genocide and WWIII if we accept to play the game honestly. But we cannot force anyone to play it honestly, except ourselves.
I think it can be a good inducing technique to talk and discuss lucid dreams IRL, I think it will heighten your odds because besides the verbal blah blah blah you have also all that non-verbal communication that is missing on WWW. In my case, most of my friends are totally not interested but sometimes I just tell about it and I’m not seen as a loonatic for that. They accept me and my hang ups just like I accept their crazy hobbies without wanting to change them.
