for along time, i thought that it is not possible to project into real world and that all environments in dreams, obes do not really exist. this morning i had an expirience, i had an LD, then woke up, but did not move, i tried to use an exit technique for obe, i imagined moving my hands and they moved, i mean that i did not move ny physical hands, then i imagined getting up and i stood up on my bed with my dream/energetic body. i heard my mother moving out of room and she suddenly switched off light and everthing became dark, this shocked me, it faded and i woke up. then i realised that my mother moving out of room and switching off light really happened. so, do you guys think that i really projected into real time zone?
Well, myself it would take a lot more to believe. While we sleep, we are still open to external sensory experience (like the alarm clock becoming another sort of ringing alarm in dreams), thus you could have easily witnessed these events if you were in a dream too.
You could have had your eyes open, and had a really vivid dream.
I’m not sure.
I definitely think its possible to project in real time. I’ve done it a few times as well as having LDs. In my opinion they are actually much the same thing… just experiences at varying points of a spectrum of OBE experiences. But anyway, i do find that there is a difference (sometimes subtle) between real-time projections and lucid dreams where it seems to me that you are further from the physical body and further from the physical plane.
There are a few experiences i’ve had which (to me anyway) constitute some kind of proof… I must have fallen asleep very briefly at the time of actual separation but when i became conscious i realised that my nose (of my astral body or whatever) was about an inch from the ceiling above my bed… which was surprising to say the least. I was also seeing with astral sight… there’s a definitely different quality to it than regular physical sight. Anyway, after i came back to my physical body i was able to verify that there was a cobweb on the ceiling exactly as i saw it out of my body which i hadn’t noticed before (no, i don’t clean much!).
Another time, i managed to free my arm during sleep paralysis and reach out to get my phone to see what time it was. I must have touched the astral counterpart of my phone because when i tried to see my hand in front of me holding the phone i couldn’t see anything, even though i could definitely feel my hand waving around in front of my face. That was a bit freaky.
Lastly (!) I got out of my body and stood next to my bed… i could feel a strong pull towards me body which is something i don’t experience in LDs (i think it has to do with the proximity). I walked out of my dark bedroom and onto the well-lit landing. I had a bit of panic about whether i could get back in my body or not and decided to ‘command’ myself to be back in my body. Next thing i knew i woke up with a start in bed.
Sorry for the long post, but i hope you find it interesting! C x
I tend to agree with this. I’ve been reading a lot about Astral Projection, and people who have consciously experienced projection say that they have seen dreamers acting out dream scenarios on the astral plane. If this is true, then it seems that there really is a fine line between dreaming and what we normally think of as being “out of body”. Perhaps in one scenario, our minds invent images and dream narratives in order to explain the odd environment that we find ourselves in while asleep. That would also explain why a conscious astral projection can so easily turn into a normal dream if one isn’t careful to stay focused. In this way, AP could just be an even more lucid LD.
i thnk yes u did
