Last night I tried the sleep timer method, for LD’s and OBE’s, I found outlined on another website. I woke up at 4:30am and stayed awake for 45 minutes. Before falling back to sleep, I set a timer to sound at specific times during the night. The whole process worked really well.
The routine I followed was supposed to first induce LD’s and to later induce OBE’s, as the night went on. After 3 separate LD’s I found myself in SP and barely conscious. With every beep of the timer I found myself automatically struggling to leave my physical body.
I managed to leave my body several times, however, as I walked around my bedroom I became worried that in moving my dream body I would disturb my physical body and disrupt SP. Each time I thought about this, while in OBE, I realized my physical eyes were shut, and I became blind. As I tried to pry my eyes open with my dream finger I abruptly snapped back to reality.
What I am wondering is anyone else has had success with any sort of timer method and how to strengthen this experience.
I personally dont have any experience in OBEs, but judging from what you said, you probably read about the timer method from “Lucidology 101”? Anyways, Lucidology 101 is an amazing course, and i think you should watch ALL the parts. However, to be specific, search for “Lucidology 101 - part 9”. This part of the course focuses on “blindess” in OBEs and LDs, which I believe is what you’re having trouble with.
Also, I really do not know much about OBEs, would you care to tell me the difference between an OBE and an LD, and what different things you can do in an OBE?
Thats interesting...the only time i had SP was when i woke my self at 4:25, stayed awake for 15 mins and then I did WILD. I read about a girl who had a SP and the time was again around 4:30 am...Could be just a coincidence ... ill check tonight
