Obnoxious Dream Guides

Hello, this is my first post, so if I completely put this in the wrong thread then sorry .

I had my first LD the day before yesterday, it lasted maybe 5 seconds, but my arm twitched because I was too excited.
The second time I landed on a beautiful beach, then kinda floated into a big tunnel, I met some tiny people (about 8 of them) who told me to follow them (although they didn’t say it, I just knew that’s what they wanted) Are these my dream guides? Can you have more than one?
After a while they got angry and annoyed at me because, being my first proper LD, I was really slow, and was taking everything in. Then they all started whispering when my brother and his girlfriend walked in, they asked them if they could come. My guides (I think my guides) told them that they could. Then my brother told me that he wanted it to be just him and his Girlfriend, so they pushed me away. I looked to my guides for support, they told me that I should leave. And then I woke up in my bed.

Any help? Is there something I’m doing wrong?

EDIT: Fell asleep again, same little people weren’t listening to me, they ignored me while I counted on until I decided to give up and wake up.

From what I’ve seen, dream guides can be any dream character that you see. So, I’m sure that you can have more than one at a time.

The problem that I can see, is that you’re giving your personal power away. Lucid dreams are supposed to be fun and satisfying for you, so if they’re rushing it without explaining what’s so urgent, instead of motivating you with an adventure… if they tell you not to appreciate your dream, and chase you off into waking… then, they’re not guiding you very well. They’re still guides, but only because you follow them.

Or maybe there’s a reason that you’re supposed to be motivated to wake up instead of get lost in dreams, to face your fears and solve your problems instead of escaping. That’s one possible reason for obnoxious and annoying dream guides, but I personally think that they’re just being jerks to you.

(In my very first lucid dream that I ever had, I went looking for a dream guide, and when I finally found him, he just said, “You’re not ready to hear what I’ve got to say”. It was so annoying! I spent my whole dream looking for him!)

Generally, I think you’re very much on the right track, with becoming lucid at all. Soon it’ll happen more frequently, be longer, and more vivid, and you’ll be able to do whatever you want!

Thanks, it’s good to know that I’m not the only one!

My belief is that Dream Guides are creations of the mind, for the mind. Therefore, they can be anything you want them to be, whatever your definition of a dream guide is.

Hi,
What technique u followed to become lucid?

Everything is all good now, I used MILD to get my very first proper LD! It was great, but for some reason first I had to rip through a green sheet in front of me. Forcefully.

But no annoying dream guides to stop me so, I think it went well.
