okay, what was this, SP? and HELP PLZ!SPtoLD?

okay, so last night was weird. i did the method where you say “I AM lucid” and after a bit i couldn’t feel my legs, then i kinda couldn’t feel my arms, and i kept my eyes shut. then, when i opended them i kept checking the time, and it ticked on normally. eventually i held my eyes somewhat closed and very open, and tried to morph the green beam into my ceiling into just a plain ceiling, and i kept going at it, and was somewhat successful.

but when i did an RC, i failed. okay, so first, is there a certain way to go from SP to an LD? if so, i would like to know because i can easily obtain SP. second, was this kind of like MILD? i only did the beam morphing thing because i was bored after saying “i AM lucid”. if someone could please please please fill me in, that would be great.

and also, does MILD always have to be mixed with WILD? or does it matter much?

please helpz!

You said you couldn’t feel your arms and legs, but with SP you can’t move your body. I’d say the numbness you felt is a step towards actual SP.

Did this occur during a WBTB? If not: tough chance you enter an LD from SP. If you did WBTB, you can enter an LD, the reason for this can be found here(<clickables) . When you fall asleep from wide awake you will find it difficult to enter a dream conciously because it takes 1.5 hours to reach REM-sleep and before that your brain goes through the delta stage, (deep sleep). In which the visual cortex and other mental functions are disabled. When you WBTB however, you can enter a dream from awake, (an SP), because when you wake up and go back to bed, the sleep cycle(see image) is likely to continue. (WILD)

The ‘morphing’ of the green beam into a ceiling seemed to be some control over your HI. But I can’t be sure of this.

Your question about combining MILD and WILD: No, you either do MILD which aims for a DILD, or WILD which of course aims for a WILD. The difference in these to types of lucid dreams is that with a DILD you aren’t lucid from the start of the dreams, you gain lucidty at a later stage, perhaps by an RC. (DILD relies on luck a lot). With WILD on the other hand you are lucid from the start of your dream, a kind of 100% succes technique, if carried out correctly, which is NOT an easy thing to do, probably never works without WBTB. MILD can be done without WBTB, but WBTB increases your chances of success.

ooooooooooooo thank you very much!
