Once you're there why not party?

Hey guys just wondering…i havent had a lucid dream yet…but i dont think there would be any music would there?

so what i wna know is…what happens if you listen to music with headphones and go into a lucid dream do you hear the music? that would be aweosme…like … the world is a disco.

is this possible?

There can be music, from nowhere. But I must admit I don’t here much music in dreams. I guess it depends on the person.

Yeah, you can do that. I have listened to some lucid dreaming tapes, and they were talking in the dream. Other times when music was playing nearby, not in headphones that is, it made it’s way into dreams. But it hasn’t happened in a LD though. I sleep in silence nowadays.

Occasionally i make music happen in my LDs. a lot of the time i’ve never heard it before, and i quite like it :content:

If you go to bed listening to an mp3 player or something, and you fall asleep with it, it will probobly wake you up. Because if your not trained enough, you will hear it and you will wake up. You’ll probobly forget that’s why.

You could have music in your LD if your that lucid enough  I might one of these days.

Apparently it sounds amazing in its clarity and stuff…

I’ve heard music in LD’s all the time, usually real songs though (nothing I can sell and become a star). I’ve never gone to sleep with my MP3 on though.

Quite uncommonly I hear music in my dreams and I can change it just by thinking about what I want it to change to. For some reason I don’t become lucid through this though

PARTY HARD PARTY HARD

That’s actually a pretty good idea. Spawn a radio and listen to it

I have heard that you can play music automatically in your head using your memory bank or somthing. Why dont your try that? “dreaming”… Giant monster he is ganna attack the city!" cue the music!!! DUM, DA DUM! DUMM DUMM… DA DA DUUUMM!!!

How long does the music last?

for example, im only new to this site, so i think it may be a while before i have my first LD but i’v already planned out what i want to do and a lot of them contain music, so i hope its more than just a few minutes, how long has music lasted for you?

As long as i want it to

If your concentration drifts away from the music then you might lose it (or change channel  ).

Excellent, thats good to know.

Ya somtimes music comes on when I start to lose control. But would it be hard to fall asleep while listening to music?

One night I went to sleep with my computer speakers playing some low volume music. I had a normal dream in which out of nowhere a song started playing. I checked the playlist the next day on my computer and that song was on it. I guess I could hear the song in my dream…It was amazingly clear with every lyric.

In a lucid dream I had recently, I saw a radio and decided to turn my friend into the same radio. It worked, and when I picked up the new radio which use to be my friend, it started playing music. I could hear it very well and even change songs just by thinking about a certain song and telling the radio to play it, although it got the wrong song ! But it still worked.

If I ever get good at lucid dreaming I am gonna listen to music as I sleep to make dreams a whole lot cooler! Is this possible?

well i wasn’t lucid but during my nap today i was at a live concert listening to music, and i have had a lot of dreams with music in them… i am a singer/songwriter and i really want to try to get lucid enough to try and write some songs in my dreams, see what happens

yes if i get lucid again i will want to fly but it would be cool if i added superman music in the backround hahah im so wierd.

BTW, I had th situation in a lucid dream, where I could for some reason not fly at once but then I just started to hum the supeman song and then it worked.

it is definitely possible to hear music in your dreams from WL, without waking up (well, for a while at least)

i remember once hearing the song that my alarm clock was playing in my dream. Then (either due to the alarm clock, or maybe my own internal clock), i woke up.

so basically right before i woke up, i heard the song that was being played on my radio. And even though this woke me up… well i still hard it

(you know those dreams where you wake up and you are SURE you were JUST dreaming it? yeah, that’s what it was like)
