One Pointed Meditation and your Dream Dot

When I was a few years old I realized that by staring at the center of the rings on a natural wooden door in my parents room, I could take myself to other worlds. At the time I believed this worked because the rings were portals, now I understand that it was the one pointed meditation that was allowing me to LD.

The most effective meditation technique for triggering LDs is the meditation of one pointedness. Basically staring at a single point and trying to remain visually focused as possible on that point. If you practice this for even a few minutes a day your LDs will greatly increase.

The next step is using one pointedness to stabalize and enhance your LDs. This is where your ‘Dream Dot’ comes into play. Find a tiny, permanent dot somewhere on your hand, like a freckle or scar. If your hands are perfect, it may be worth it to get a tatoo of a tiny dot. Now that you have found your dream dot, you can use this as a point of meditation, not only while you are awake, but also in your LDs. When you meditate on this point within the LD, it can immensely increase awareness, vividness, and stability.

Any DJ examples to inspire us further? (Not that I’m not going to try this of course. I tend to try any techniques I read about just to see how well they work for me.)

this is very correct. recently i learned how i can WILD. and it turned out that i can achieve it by focusing on a single spot in the blackness when i close my eyes. it’s not a particular thing or dot, it’s just a spot that i pick and i focus on the blackness. it helps keep the mind clear and then the dream comes, or i drop into it. that’s the only way to silence your head.

I’ve tried (or, been trying) meditation for a while, on and off, but always find it hard to… stick with. I remember I had a drawing class once where we had to find a partner and take turns at drawing each other. When he was drawing me, I just stared at the wall without moving for a good 15 minutes and I was sure I entered a nice meditative/trance state. So yeah, I should try this :lol: In this example my sight got out of focus though.

So you don’t look at any particular phosphenes or HI, just at a specificarea? a black that’s just the same as the rest of the black? :tongue:
