Oneriology Degree :help:

I’m not sure if this belongs here but anyhoo…
I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a degree in oneriolgy when I leave school but I have no idea where I could do a course like this. If anyone has any ideas could they please tell me. I would probably have to do it off campus though because I know none of the local universities offer it. :help:

I’d love to help but I’ve never heard of onierology before. It sounds like something to do with medicine, but I really have no idea. If you can tell me what it is, I might know of a place that should teach it! If it is medicinal, I have a friend taking medicine who told me you can’t specialise in much until after the first couple of years. So I doubt there would be such a thing as a degree that particular anyway - at least not for undergraduates. But I really don’t know.

i think your best bet would be psychology and from there progress in the study of dreams.

Either that or physiology/anatomy- best would be both,so you generally need some medical university, most of them offer courses in psychology as well.
I doubt theres oneirology as a subject itself anywhere, even if it is its propably optional and with such subject theres rarely a possibility of having degree in it.

Thanks for your help
O well I’ll probably do psycology anyhoo
There’s 3 courses I want to do but I can only do 2 at max
-Law
-Games Design
-Psychology
And I’m running out of room at school to do all the subjects I want even though I’m doing an extended VCE.
(Yes that’s right I’m VOLUNTEERING for an extra year of school)

Why don’t you take a combined course at uni, then? You can do triple majors for that if you want, and they’re no harder to get into than normal courses, although they’re a lot more work. Law/Arts will get you into Law and Psychology, and if you overload your units you should be able to do Games Design under your electives (especially for arts, which lets you take almost anything). But I guess it depends on the university you’re thinking of going to as well.

Although… speaking from experience, law is not a subject I’d recommend overloading in. You need all the time you can spare! I haven’t taken the others and so can’t speak for them, but anyway.

I’m pretty sur I’ll do a double degree and it’s actually been recomended for law students to do so but I’m not sure about doing a triple degree, still law/psychology is actually a pretty good match (cross examination, behavior or criminals etc.)
I can possibly learn programming and simmilar in my spare time.
Thanks for your help.

Oh, I didn’t mean a triple degree (I’ve never heard of such a thing, anyway). I meant a double degree like Law/Arts with your Design units filling in your extra electives. I’m doing something similar with my course, except that it’s Arts/Commerce with Law units for electives - that’s how I know it can be done.

Whaaaa? I just noticed under your avatar it says you’re 14. Are you really only 14? You must be incredibly good academically to have almost finished Year 12 already, let alone considering taking law! I was 16-17 in my last year of school, AND I was a year younger than most of my classmates in Victoria! You must be a genius or something to be so young - I don’t blame you for taking an extra year of school in that case! I’ve never seen anybody that young at uni before!

I havn’t nearly completed year 12, I’m only doing Year 10 although I have started two year 11 subjects. Yes I am 14 and I’m like you I’m a year younger than normal although with this program I’m doing it puts me another year younger but I’m doing an extra year so It’l only be one less most of my class is doing an extra year, I think only 2 aren’t.
Also I’m glad to see another Auzzie, especially a Victorian on this forum.
Thanks for your help! I’ll see if I can do a triple major. All I’ve got to do now is get 95 on my ENTER score, which I’m very worried about.
