Other technique's for me to try now?

Hi everyone,

I’ve had about 4 lucid dreams now, my last one lasted like 4 minutes.

But, I’ve seen people use many other technique’s to get lucid. I’ve read about a few, but they all seem so difficult. I am talking about WILD, WBTB, MILD etc…

However most of the time when I try a technique I am not able to fall asleep anymore. Does anyone have a suggestion on which technique’s I should start with and any hints about the technique itself?

Thanks a lot!! :content:

MILD isn’t meant to keep you awake. You set your intentions before going to sleep, and just fall asleep normally. You don’t have to keep repeating it over and over in your head while you fall asleep. Let yourself fall asleep normally, and have your mantra or phrase running through your head 5-10 minutes before you try to go to sleep, but don’t think it has to stay there until you fall asleep.

i would greatly suggest a WBTB conbined with a MILD. All you have to do is set your alarm like i would say if you went to bed at 11:00 then at 3:30 wake yourself up with an alarm or better yet without one then maybe just read a little about lucid dreaming then go back to bed and do a MILD or you could try to DEILD

Ok so tonight I have set my alarm clock at 3:30 and I went to read some stuff about Lucid Dreaming. After that I was so tired that I went back to bed and tried to sleep.

Sadly, no lucid dream. In fact, I can’t remember any dream at all.

What I may have done wrong is that I fell to sleep at around 1:00 in the night (I slept really bad) and perhaps I had to read about Lucid Dreaming even longer since most people recommend an hour. But I just couldn’t hold on for that long.

If I WBTB, I usually stay up at most a half hour. Really, all I tend to use WBTB for is to reset my intentions, and possibly a WILD. Sometimes I stay awake just long enough to shut off my alarm and then go back to sleep for a WILD attempt.

Also, with a WBTB, it’s recommended to wake up 4.5-6 hours after you first fell asleep. It’s a bit easier than if you only wait 2.5 hours before waking up.
