Passing the time inbetween LDs

The first time I was able to have a lucid dream it took me almost a month of practice and preparation to do so. It takes a lot of patience and dedication in order to stay the course. It can become tiresome having to keep an up to date dream journal and perform reality checks everyday without every feeling like you’re making progress. Do any of you have any tips on how to stay focused? What do you do to pass the time inbetween LDs?

Well, I don’t do anything so much anymore, yet at least, but one thing I used to have that made it easier was a group WBTB. It was fun because we’d all decided on a time to get up at, and we’d talk about if we had gotten lucid the day before, what we were going to try to get lucid that time, and what we wanted to do when we were lucid. It made it a lot easier to stick with it because it wasn’t like you were getting lucid by yourself, you had some friends to have fun with while getting lucid.

That sounds like really good advice. I’m not sure if it’d suit me though. I’m not very sociable at the best of times and I hate interrupting my sleep for any reason. But I can imagine that a group WBTB would be a really helpful way to stick with it, like taking a friend to the gym.
