People who are naturals?

I have met a few people who are natural LD’ers, and most of them say that they don’t care whether their dreams are lucid or not. I thought that it might just be that they get bored of it, but considering all the natural LD’ers here and one of my friends who never gets bored of LD’s even though he has them every night and always does the same thing (become dictator of an Asian empire and rule the world with an iron fist  :dark: :good: ). So it cant be that… What is it? And why is it that most of the time people who want or care about something are the ones who don’t or cant have it, and people who DON’T want or care about something are the ones who have it/always have?
Like how people who love cats are the ones who have allergy problems around more than one cat at a time

That’s an interesting question.

I’ve often found in my life that the more I focus \ think about \ over-analyze \ search for \ strive for something the less likely that the something is going to occur, and if it does it’s never exactly how I had planned it out.

Eventually I stopped making big plans and getting my hopes up on circumstances, feeling down because things are one way for another person and not the same for me, etc. I learned to take things as they come sporadic, or not. More so just being ok with the fact that everything is happening for a reason, and understanding what I lack today I may gain tomorrow.

hope this helps

Some statistics have been done and it sounds like children when they are about 8 to 10 often have lucid dreams (article: A Validation of Lucid Dreaming in School Age Children). Now even if children often have LD’s at this age, it’s generally not 1 per night, which sounds like very surprising, it’s more often 1 or 2 per month. It generally tends to disappear when they are about 13.

My opinion is, natural LD’ers generally don’t care cause they are often low lucid thus it’s not truly interesting. Many don’t know it’s possible to control their dreams, or they are even afraid when it happens. But most of the time, “natural LD’ers” are not really LD’ers: they can control sometimes their dreams but they are quite no lucid in them. They know they have “powers” in certain circumstances, but they don’t fully realize it’s a dream. Thus those dreams are not really interesting neither and they don’t try to induce them.

Now there is another problem when you ask to people whether there have LD’s: many people don’t exactly understand what you mean by “being aware you’re dreaming” and they just understand “being aware that you have been dreaming”… that is just remembering dreams! The problem is common in french because there is no present perfect, perhaps it’s easier to explain in english and such a confusion is impossible, I don’t know. I also noticed that a common thing is, some people which are not interested at all in LD’ing answer: “oh, I do this all the time” just to stop the talk!

I get them naturally, I can do it both ways both DILD and WILD. Its not that it gets boring more that sometimes its more fun to see what comes up and play around with that, sometimes its better to create your own dream, and sometimes I find that controlling my dreams makes me a little tired the next day so its not something I want to do everynight or I’d be exhausted.

wanting creates an energy vibration of lack
lack creates and manifests itself, multiplying
so that one who feels lack, creates lack
they focus on wanting
and the feeling is bad
I WANT I WANT I WANT
and it can only lead to more bad feelings

this is why people who want something a lot, usually don’t get it

and people who have it don’t think its anything special

i was wondering this today, realizing “hey you have a car!” general impulse is “so what” but to the person who would love a car more than anything, they would experience strong positive feelings if they got one

yet, these positive feelings are in direct relation as the yin is connected to the yang to the negative feelings of not having

watch a gameshow if someone wins money and starts screaming
this is because their entire life they were a slave to emotional pain and demonic hellish suffering at the hands of their master $ and so therefore, they get to feel t he inverse of their hell, and it causes them to scream and go nuts and have a fut

the Taoist or one at one with the Force (the Light side) is simply aloof, calm, and peaceful, if he won money he might smile a little, maybe laugh, but it wouldn’t phase him much, for he does not suffer at the idol of a demon which he sanctifies nightly OH PLEASE OH PLEASE, IF I ONLY HAD, IF I ONLY HAD, WHAT A WORLD

extreme mania exists because of extreme depression, the sublime bliss that is omnipresent in every moment is far superior than to give your center away to an external object of veneration, vexed at not being able to have it

“no prize could hold sway or justify my giving away my center”

people who go nuts on game shows idolize and worship money
its as if they didn’t believe that by being cool and calm and collected, they could still have joy, so they scream and hissy-fit and go OMIGOD

its good to feel joy when we manifest our goals though, just not, at the expense of feeling sorrow and dejection if we don’t.
