i can say that since i began ld-ing about 5 months ago, i have progressed quickly, i have a ld every other night and they last for about an hour each. What i do is this:

most important: i get either a friend or a family member to say something along the lines of ,“you look like you’re dreaming” , or “hey, stop dreaming” randomly about 2 hours before i go to bed, and this works! I swear by it, for me it works, since they do it at random times it registers in my head, ALSO, important, when they say it, perform a lucidity test and think (for about 2 min) about what they said an ask yourself over and over if you are lucid, even after you made the test.
And before you go to bed peform wild in which you perform various checks and fail them, and when fail them make it seem as though you realised that you are lucid , and it should work very well. -
…never go to this stage because method 1 always works for me.
